NYT 2012 Budget Infographic

As a follow-up to yesterday’s post, Shan Carter and Amanda Cox of the New York Times have created an interactive treemap that makes it easier to understand what is going where in Obama’s $3.7 trillion 2012 budget. Each rectangle is sized according to proposed spending. The colors show percent change from last year, with reds representing drops and greens showing increases. The darker the color, the larger the percentage. You can zoom in and pan around the graphic to view details.
